The genesis of "Viking Chef: Feast Frenzy" traces back to a vision of an expansive Viking-themed sandbox game. Envisioned as a relaxed alternative to games like "Valheim", Devlex Online dreamt of a world where players would casually explore, gather, and construct.

However, Easter 2023 marked a pivotal moment. The developer's decision to transition into game development full-time necessitated a more streamlined project. The outcome? The birth of a unique cooking game, initially embracing hunting, fishing, and gathering dynamics. Leveraging the FGGS game development methodology, Devlex Online soon recognized the need to refine the concept to align with a three-month full-time development window.

Inspired by CodeMonkey's teachings, the game evolved, drawing parallels with "Viking Overcooked". But staying true to the studio's essence, and given a disconnect with the "Overcooked" format, a third-person perspective was reintroduced, resonating more authentically with the game's spirit.

The privilege of featuring in the Steam Next Fest provided additional development time. Today, as "Viking Chef: Feast Frenzy" nears its launch, the anticipation is palpable. From its sandbox roots to its current culinary focus, the game embodies Devlex Online's journey, agility, and passion in the world of game development.
